MV Werften has delivered Crystal River Cruises’ first Rhine-class vessel, Crystal Bach

Crystal River Cruises has welcomed Crystal Bach to its fleet.

The luxury river ship, the first of four Rhine-class ships set to sail in Europe, was delivered to Crystal by MV Werften during the official handover ceremony in Wismar, Germany. In attendance were Crystal's chief executive and president Edie Rodriguez and several local dignitaries.

“It is a thrill to welcome Crystal Bach to the family, as she is one of the most anticipated vessels to embark on Europe’s rivers in years,” said Ms Rodriguez. “Her design, abundant space and standard of amenities and luxury are groundbreaking in and of themselves, then, combined with the acclaimed Crystal brand of service and attention to detail, create an unprecedented experience in the river cruising industry.”

Crystal Bach will travel along the Rhine and Moselle rivers.

Crystal’s Rhine-class river ships are all-balcony, all-suite vessels, with every category of accommodation perched above the waterline. The 135 m long vessels will have capacity for 110 passengers.

Crystal Bach will be followed by Crystal Mahler and in 2018, Crystal Debussy and Crystal Ravel.
