Cruise Ship Interiors Expo Europe is being supported by a line-up of major industry names and cruise operators.

Europe’s first event to focus exclusively on the interiors for the cruise sector has received support from the industry’s major cruise lines, including MSC Cruises, Carnival Corporation and Hurtigruten.

Carnival Corp principle manager outfitting Andrea Bartoli said “I’m looking forward to Cruise Ship Interiors Expo Europe and am pleased to be on the advisory board and offer my full support to this highly focused event.”

Cruise Ship Interiors Expo Europe’s most recent addition to the advisory board is MSC Cruises lead architect Antonio Di Nenno, while Crystal Cruises design manager Eleonora Brugnolotto also joined recently.

Taking place at the Fira de Barcelona on 4-5 December 2019, the two-day expo and conference was created specifically for the marine interiors industry and will focus exclusively on the river, ocean and expedition cruise industries, as well as newbuilds and refurbishment projects. It is the sister event of Miami’s Cruise Ship Interiors Expo. The inaugural event will take place on 18-20 June 2019 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

The event organisers have revealed that Cruise Ship Interiors Expo Europe already boasts a near-sold out floor plan, with less than 25% of stand space remaining. Coming together at the Fira Barcelona for the two-day expo will be industry-leading marine interior suppliers, including Bez Marine Interiors, Bolidt, Deck-Rite, Gerflor Group, Kettal, Oliver Design, Pier Marine Interiors, SMC Design and Trimline.

Cruise Ship Interiors Expo Europe has caught the attention of some of the industry’s biggest names. Event organisers says that world-renowned design studio YSA Design, which rarely exhibit at trade fairs, will be exhibiting at the event and its chief executive Anne Mari Gullikstad is an advisory board member.

“YSA is really looking forward to Europe’s premier event for the marine interiors community,” said Ms Gullikstad.

Other major names who have shown their support of the event so far include:

  • SMC Design director, Andy Yuill
  • Bez Marine Interiors chief executive Stefan Bez
  • Trimline co-owner Michael Oliver
  • P&O Australia head of design Petra Ryberg
  • Carnival Cruise Line senior director of interior design and architecture Petu Kummala
  • MSC Cruises vice president of newbuilding Trevor Young
